Research Visitor

Biography

Heba is a research visitor from the Ministry of Health, working in collaboration with IDE to understand the molecular characterisation and epidemiology of MRSA strains isolated from various cities across the Kingdom.

She completed her PhD in Immunology at the University of Glasgow, UK, in 2023 and joined our lab in March 2024. Her PhD research focused on understanding the role of CC-chemokine receptors CCR1, CCR2, CCR3, and CCR5 in directing cell migration during inflammation.

During her academic journey, Heba acquired diverse skills in immunobiology research. Her work involved extensive data analysis, laboratory experimentation using animal models, flow cytometry (FACS), and experience with various techniques, including cell culture, qPCR, RNA extraction, cDNA generation, and tissue processing.
